Busolinea is Mexico's leading bus ticket platform — letting users search schedules, compare prices, and purchase tickets for over 20,000 routes across the country. Alpha Wave Systems built and maintained the iOS and Android mobile applications powering the platform.
Millions of Mexicans rely on intercity bus travel daily, but purchasing tickets still meant standing in line at a station. The challenge was to deliver a fast, reliable mobile experience that could handle peak traffic, integrate with dozens of bus operators, and work on entry-level Android devices with limited connectivity.
We developed native iOS and Android apps with an API-first architecture, enabling seamless integration with operator timetable systems. The apps featured offline-capable ticket storage, credit/debit card payments, and push notifications for trip reminders — reducing average ticket purchase time from 15 minutes to under 90 seconds.
